But, how does the media shape our understanding of the political events and issues that potentially affect our lives, particularly in a country such as the Netherlands? In the Netherlands, traditional, left-leaning and right-wing newspapers all exist, creating a sometimes-contentious relationship between politics and the media. In this article, we will analyze how the media and politics interact in the Netherlands. First, it is worth noting that in the Netherlands media outlets generally show support for the right-wing parties versus the left-wing parties.
